What information will The Social Kinetic collect about you?
Research Participants
We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. We collect and process information shared with us as appropriate to the engagement, communications and research project in question. This may include, but not be limited to, information such as your name, address and other contact information provided to us when taking part in activities such as surveys, focus groups, depth interviews, workshops, events, conferences, or through online communities. It may also include any worksheets, feedback forms or other written activities you complete.
Some projects may be audio recorded, photographed or video recorded, and we will always make sure you are aware of what is being captured before you begin, and how this information will be used.
We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than as specified in this notice.
Clients and industry colleagues
For those clients and colleagues in the industry we may contact you if you on our mailing list for events. Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.
Prospective employees
The Social Kinetic will collect and store the information you provide to us as part of the application process for a role at The Social Kinetic. We will process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice unless such processing conflicts with the requirements of applicable law, in which case, applicable law will prevail.
We process this data for recruitment purposes and recruitment monitoring purposes only.

Identifying and evaluating candidates for potential employment, as well as for future roles that may become available;

Who will have access to your information?
Access to your information will be limited to only those The Social Kinetic or staff involved in research projects or who need access in order to directly support the systems used for projects. This may include our sub-contractors who may carry out some of the processing on The Social Kinetic’ behalf, and under The Social Kinetic’ control, including the service providers who host or provide technical support for our systems however all processors acting on our behalf only process your data in accordance with instructions from us and comply fully with this privacy notice, the data protection laws and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

However, we can reassure you that we take great care to ensure any transfers are carried out securely and in compliance with all applicable data protection and data privacy legal requirements. How long will The Social Kinetic keep the information you provide?
We aim to keep personal information to the minimum necessary and delete it when we no longer need it.
If we are the Controller or Joint Controller of your data, we will keep information of your participant in any research project for a maximum of 12 months after the completion of a project. If we act as a processor on behalf of one of our clients, we will only retain the data for the duration of the project parameters.
All such information is held securely on our servers and deleted securely after the relevant time frame has elapsed.
How does The Social Kinetic ensure your personal information is held securely?
We take our responsibilities very seriously to keep personal information secure. As such we take every reasonable precaution to ensure your information is protected from loss, theft or misuse. These precautions include appropriate physical security of our offices, controlled access to computer systems, and use of secure, encrypted internet connections when collecting personal information. We provide training to our staff who handle personal information to ensure that they look after all personal information properly. As part of our commitment to the security of your information, The Social Kinetic has regular internal audits of its information security and periodic self-assessment to verify that it continues to be in compliance with UK and EU regulations.
The Social Kinetic is Cyber Essentials accredited. Cyber Essentials is a recognised government-backed cyber security certification scheme designed to protect against cyber-attacks.
